The guide

How Shellpocket works

Every feature, step by step — from connecting your first server to managing Docker stacks, torrents, media, metrics, and a full SSH terminal from your iPhone.

Connect your server

  1. On first launch, the Welcome to Shellpocket screen asks for a Server name and a Server address — just the IP or hostname, no scheme or port. Tap Continue.
  2. Open Settings (the gear in any tab's toolbar). Under Services & Ports, pick your backends with the Containers, Torrents, and Metrics pickers and customize ports if yours differ from the defaults.
  3. Each tab asks for that service's login the first time you open it — enter the credentials and tap Connect. Everything is stored in the iOS Keychain, never in any cloud.
  4. Run more than one machine? In Settings → Servers, tap Add server. Tap a server in the list to make it active — all tabs switch to that server's services.

Manage Docker stacks Dockge

  1. Open the Stacks tab to see every Docker Compose stack with a color-coded running status.
  2. Swipe a stack row left for quick Restart, Stop, or Start actions.
  3. Tap a row to open the stack: use the Start, Stop, and Restart buttons, and watch the live Logs stream below — toggle Auto to keep it scrolled to the newest lines.

Control torrents qBittorrent

  1. Open the Torrents tab. Filter chips across the top narrow the list by state, and Search torrents filters by name.
  2. Tap + and paste a magnet link or torrent URL into the Add torrent sheet, then tap Add.
  3. Swipe a torrent for quick Pause, Resume, Top (force start), or Delete.
  4. Tap a torrent for details — progress, speed, ETA — plus Force start (move to top), Remove from list, or Delete files from storage.

Automate your media Sonarr · Radarr · Prowlarr

  1. The Media tab has a segmented picker: TV Shows, Movies, and Search.
  2. TV Shows (Sonarr): browse your series, or use Add TV Show to search and add a new one — choose the quality Profile and root Folder before adding. Edit any show later to change its profile.
  3. Movies (Radarr): same flow with Add Movie, plus per-movie quality profile editing.
  4. Search (Prowlarr): search all your indexers at once and Sort by leechers or other criteria. Tap a result to open the Add to qBittorrent sheet, pick a Category and download path, and the torrent starts downloading.

Watch live metrics Prometheus · Grafana

  1. On first open, the Metrics tab asks for your Prometheus and Grafana URLs.
  2. Live KPIs cards show CPU, RAM, disk, and running-container count, color-coded when something runs hot.
  3. Pick a Time range — from Last 15 min to 30 d — and every embedded Grafana dashboard below follows it, rendered full-screen without Grafana's navbar.

SSH terminal & file browser

  1. In the Terminal tab, tap + to add a host. Authenticate with a password or paste an OpenSSH ed25519 Private key — either way it's stored in the iOS Keychain, and host keys are verified against changes.
  2. Tap a host and choose Open shell for a full interactive SSH terminal with a keyboard bar for Ctrl, Esc, Tab, and arrow keys.
  3. Or choose Browse files (SFTP): navigate the remote filesystem, preview files with QuickLook, Upload file, create a New folder, and swipe rows to Rename, Share (download), or Delete.
  4. Your server also appears as a Home Server location in the iOS Files app, so other apps can open and save files on it directly.

Make it yours

Widgets

Add the Server Health widget (CPU, memory, disk, and container status at a glance) or the Containers widget (how many containers are running) to your Home Screen.

Siri Shortcuts

Say "Is my server up on Shellpocket", "Pause all torrents on Shellpocket", or "Resume all torrents on Shellpocket" — and build your own Shortcuts to start, stop, or restart any stack.

Security & sync

Turn on Require Face ID in Settings → Security to lock the app (the App Switcher snapshot is redacted, too). Enable iCloud Sync to sync server names across your devices — passwords and tokens never leave the phone.

Push notifications

Enable Push notifications in Settings to get alerts when a torrent finishes, CPU or RAID runs into trouble, or a service goes down or comes back up. Requires the self-hosted Shellpocket Notifier container on your server — no cloud relay.
